  • Host on the Coast: Cookies Made Simple

So, one of my besties of over 25 years, Elisabeth (Lilly) Swardstrom, has a beautiful brand new full color cookbook out called Host on the Coast: Cookies Made Simple. It’s available for preorder now on Amazon and ships March 10th. I can’t wait to try her recipes – she’s a thoughtful, talented, and creative chef. She also has a modern etiquette and lifestyle blog that you won’t want to miss, HostOnTheCoast.com If I had to describe my friend Lilly in one word, it would be “lovely.” As is everything she puts her heart and mind to.

And here is a picture of us from (way) back in the day. She was a special person in my life back then and she still is today. 🙂

    Happy reading! And baking!

  • Book of the Year – Feeling Thankful

I am deeply honored and thankful to be able to share that my little children’s book, God Must Love, won a 2026 Outstanding Book of the Year Award from the Illumination Book Awards. I am sending many congrats to all the winners. What a fun and exciting honor!

I couldn’t have made this book a reality from my head and heart to a finished and published book if it wasn’t for my wonderful publisher, Fusion Hybrid Publishing of Endgame Press, or my family, especially my mom and husband whose support is endless. THANK YOU! From the bottom of my heart.

My hope for this book is for kids to know that God, creator of everything good in the universe, loves them and made them unique and special. We are all made differently, but God loves us all the same.

  • A Tale of Two Seasons

Happy book birthday to my amazing and sweet dad who we miss everyday! It’s been one year today since his book, A Tale of Two Seasons, made it out into the world last October 22. My mom and I were honored to see to it that it become published after all the years he poured into writing it. (Thank you ACU Press and End Game Press!)

Thank you to those who have read his words and if you haven’t yet, what are you waiting for? 😉 My dad was the best – so full of wit and wisdom!

Side note: I think everyone should write a book to leave for the world when they are gone. I’m so thankful my dad did that. His book is a treasure. And it’s about so much more than just basketball.

  • God Must Love

I am so excited to have my newest children’s book launching this October on my website as well as Amazon! I had the words long before I knew how to create the illustrations. I was inspired to write this book when my kids were little and they are now teenagers. Their age didn’t stop me from dedicating the book to them, though. 😉

This picture book was a special project for me to get to work on. A pure delight! I hope that it causes little ones (and their parents, teachers, and caregivers) to notice all that God has created in the Universe from a place of love. If He created it, He must love it! Big things, little things, yummy things, different things, colorful things! All the things!

“You are worthy, O Lord our God, to receive glory and honor and power. For You created all things, and they exist because You created what You pleased.” – Revelation 4:11 (NLT)
