I did this piece just the other week. My Alma Mater is doing an Alumni Art show so naturally I wanted to submit something for it.
I love mixed media and finding old fabric scraps to use in my work. The scraps always represent how God can take our broken pieces and rework them into something new for His purpose. In this piece I have also incorporated some flower water color sketches that I found in an old sketchbook of mine. With so many bad things in the world today, I made this piece to point to the fact that we are all flowers quickly fading and we ought to choose to love our neighbors as our Creator loves us.
“He brought me to the banqueting house, and his banner over me was love.”
