I made these sweet little chalk board pots filled with thyme in bulk to hand out to the three amazing teachers that my kids had this year. We are so thankful for them all. I thought I would share a photo for inspiration in case you are on the hunt for an easy DIY teacher gift project.
Just paint the bottom half of the pot with chalkboard paint.Paint the lip of the pot with gold metallic paint (I just happened to have this on hand, but it’s cute just left blank as well).Add the Thyme – or any herb, but I liked the ability to be punny with the word “thyme” which is why I chose it in particular. 😉Make your own little steaks to add to the soil with a line like what I chose:“Thank you for taking the THYME to help me grow this year” or“You are the greatest teacher of all THYME”Lastly, write your teacher’s name in chalk (I always use a chalk pencil)Have fun with it!
We hope to start an herb garden of our own this summer and this will serve as inspiration…
