Well, all has been quiet on the blog front but not quiet in my real life in the slightest. We just got home from a nine day tour of the Holy Land and it was an unbelievable trip. We went with family, old friends, new friends, and made even newer friends and I have so much I want to share.
When we got home (several days ago, but I was fighting jet lag or I would have blogged sooner), our perpetual calendar that we keep on our shared bathroom counter with a new scripture for each day was opened to the day we left for our trip. I wanted to share the exact writing for that day because it sums up the way I feel even more after such a trip:
Let those who love Him be like the rising of the sun in it’s might. Judges 5:31Everyone loves the beauty of a sunrise. The rising sun gives light to a waking world. It brings hope for a new day and greets us with warmth. As God’s people, we are to rise like the morning sun – giving hope and warmth to a cold and dreary world. We can make an impact on others by serving those who need serving, comforting those who are hurting, and encouraging those who are sad. It’s time to rise.
